Following the success of the adult acting workshop, the education committee has set dates for two more: stage combat and tech. The stage combat workshop will be of particular interest to persons auditioning for roles in The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe. Ben Clayton, fightmaster for the Rogers holiday play, will conduct the stage combat workshop. Kelly Blackwell, TCTC's lighting director, will lead the lighting workshop. Ken Hutchison of Hushaudio Sound and Lighting will lead the sound workshop. To enroll in a workshop, call 903-592-0561. Because of limited space, pre-registration is essential. The stage combat workshop will be held in the parking lot in front of the Rogers, and the tech workshops will be held in the Rogers tech booth. The fees are $75 for all three combat workshop sessions and $50 for the two tech workshops. The dates and times are: Stage Combat Thursday, October 18, from 4-5:30 p.m. Friday, October 19, from 4-5:30 p.m. Saturday, October 20, from 10-11:30 a.m., followed by showcase at noon. Please note that the Rose Festival parade will be on Front Street at this time, so allow time to arrive and park.
